We are also based along the left bank, on the alluvial terraces of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bordeaux.com\/fr\/appellations\/medoc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">M\u00e9doc<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vinsdegraves.com\/fr\/appellation\/notre-terroir\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Graves<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> up until <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bordeaux.com\/fr\/Notre-Terroir\/Les-Graves-et-Sauternais\/Sauternes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sauternes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our vineyards benefit from the Bordeaux climate. Oceanic and temperate, with 240 days of sunshine each year, it is regulated by the Gulf stream and sheltered from Atlantic winds by the Landes forest. Propitious to ripening and enhancing the grape's subtle aromas, these weather conditions reveal nuances which combine with those contributed by the soil: in the Bordeaux region, the composition of the rocks has a decisive influence on the quality of the wines. The dense hydrographic network, and, of course, the meticulous care of our winegrowers, also play an important role in defining our terroirs. From one bank of the estuary to another, from one appellation to the next, they offer a great diversity which Tutiac embraces and unites, while respecting their complexity, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bordeauxwinetrip.fr\/Informations-pratiques\/Lexique-du-Vin\/Cepages-et-terroirs-en-Bordelais\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">topography, and intrinsic characteristics.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid vc_custom_1576678487011 vc_row-has-fill vc_row-o-equal-height vc_row-o-content-middle vc_row-flex\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-6\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner vc_custom_1576678587734\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"title-subtitle-box\" style=\" text-align: left;\">\n\t\t<h2 style=\" color:#c8191b;  font-style: normal;\" class=\"special-title\" >Our grape varieties<\/h2>\n\t<\/div> <div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 30px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We grow a small number of grape varieties, which are blended to create harmonious wines, characteristic of Bordeaux. Our reds are made predominantly from <\/span><b>Merlot<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(70% of our area under vine), producing round, deeply-coloured wines with smooth tannins, combined with <\/span><b>Cabernet Franc<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, grown in the M\u00e9doc, Graves and Fronsac, <\/span><b>Cabernet Sauvignon<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the main grape variety in the M\u00e9doc, contributing wonderful aromatic complexity, and <\/span><b>Malbec<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which is widespread in C\u00f4tes de Bourg, where it thrives on deep red clay and clay-limestone soils. To a lesser extent, we also grow <\/span><b>Petit Verdot<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which requires meticulous care and attention to produce tannic red wines.
